Psychologists

Ms Robin Silver, MAPS, FCCLINP
BA (Hons), MPsych

Robin has been the resident psychologist at Junction Place Medical Centre since 2005. She has Masters degrees in both Counselling and Clinical Psychology, has an Area of Practice Endorsement in both Counselling and Clinical Psychology, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

She offers therapy for a range of conditions including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, phobias, couples work as well as more complex and long term conditions such as substance use disorders, PTSD, Personality Disorders.

Robin uses a mix of therapeutic approaches, mostly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and she focus on tailoring sessions and working in consultation to suit the person and issues. Most patients are eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Her interests are exercise and dance, cooking, eating and all things food, reading, attending theatre and ballet, travel, and playing with her three beautiful grandchildren.

She specialises in depression and anxiety.

Dr Robert Chatfield is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). He is a qualified secondary teacher and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychology as well as a Masters and PhD in Cognitive Developmental Psychology at The University of Melbourne.

Robert has over 20 years of experience in a range of settings including Medical Clinics, Secondary Schools, Youth Welfare Organisations, Universities and Businesses (both Local and Global). He employs a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to support people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, loss, trauma and general distress with life.
