General Medical Appointments
The quickest and easiest way to make a general medical appointment is to click on green ‘Book appointment’ HotDoc link
Please note that if you phone the Reception staff there may be a lengthy wait.
We have three types of general medical appointments. When making a booking, please specify whether you feel you require a standard appointment or a long appointment (see below for descriptions of types of appointments). You can select the type of booking required in the HotDoc link.
Standard appointments:
Up to 15 minutes for one single concern/issue.
Long appointments:
Long appointments (up to 30 minutes) are required for:
- Two or more concerns/issues
- Pap smears
- Travel advice and vaccinations
- Family and emotional issues
- Mental Health Care Plans and Chronic Disease Management Plans
- Medical and Insurance forms
- Minor procedures including removal of lumps and bumps
- Annual health checks
Extended appointments:
Extended appointments (30-45 minutes) are required for:
- ‘Over 75’ health assessments
This service is bulk-billed and can be booked by phoning reception.
New Patients
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time to fill in a registration form. Click here to download this form if you wish to pre-complete and bring it when you attend your first appointment.
Urgent Problems
We try to accommodate patients with urgent problems – please let us know the urgent nature of your problem when you call to make an appointment.
Cancellations
Please let us know if your appointment is no longer required as appointments are sometimes difficult to make and we would like to be able to offer them to other patients who may be unwell.
Missed appointments may incur a “failure-to-attend” fee, which must be settled prior to any further appointments.
Walk In Appointments
Patients who walk in without an appointment will be seen as soon as possible if a doctor is available or offered an appointment convenient to the patient.
Please be aware that scheduled appointments must take priority over patients who walk in without an appointment.
